This time next week I’ll be fretting about whether or not I have the right clothes to wear to my high school reunion, to which I will be flying next Thursday.
Much of this sounds so familiar to me. I love this and knowing about Diane and the fact that we shy folk are not alone in our high school experiences. That others still have all the feels after many years. Have a wonderful time with Diane. I have 2 life-long friends without whom I don't know how I would survive to be honest.
I'm not crying! I just loved this and I wondered who is she writing about? The day our paths crossed was one of the best days. I remember YOU being my rock. No matter how much time passes, we always pick up right where we left off. Thank you so much for your kind words. I love you, my friend, and can't wait to see you for some quality Cindy/Diane time! I will get up to Connecticut sooner, rather than later :-)
And after CT...Maine! I can't wait for you to finally experience that place! But first, I can't wait to spend some time with you. It will be a wonderful reunion, that's for sure! xo

I have so many of the same feelings that you have.... but in the end, it will be fun to see everyone and know that we have aged and gotten wiser? over the years. Yes - I will still worry about what to wear and what my thinning hair is doing but I am looking forward to seeing friends I have not seen in many years!

Cindy, so glad you are coming to visit with Diane. I tell you I remember wherever she was you were and wherever you were she was. That is how I remember you two. Peas in a pod. I always viewed you as grounded, sensitive and safe. Your writing is wonderful and I have enjoyed so much of it. I will not be attending this year and so sad to miss you. My Mother recently passed and I am dealing with so much. It was a blessing to care for her. Difficult while working full time however, I would do it all again. Being her only caregiver for the last 10 years we or rather I was able to mend so much of the Mother/Daughter drama. I told Kurt, if I felt like coming Saturday, I would, however it would be a last, very last moment decision. Have so much fun with Diane when you are here in Louisville. We all have our high school stories and over the last few weeks I have shared some with Kurt. We have a good class and we have good people in the class of 1976. Hugs to both you and Diane., and so much love. Enjoy your time Saturday, everyone has their stories of High School Survival. Maybe some will surprise you. Love ya, jean grabowski
Jean, I'm so sorry about the loss of your mother and happy that you experienced some healing time from your years as her caregiver. I know very well how demanding that responsibility can be.
