I’ve written all over the place; I had a blog (Writing Out Loud), a HuffPost page (nothing you ever saw) and a Medium page (still there if you want to check it out) and an occasional newsletter for my website. I’ve contributed to She Writes, Erma Bombeck and some other independent blogs and lately, my husband and I write a monthly column at LaVoce di New York. And I have a book published. See? All over the place.
I cast out writing lines all the time in the hopes to get “picked up” and syndicated, but so far, no such luck. So, as I did with my blog 16 years ago, I’m opening up a space on the internet for myself, on Substack, to publish my own work. My friend Trudy recently told me to get back to humor, so I’ll see if I can do that. I’ll probably also write about stuff that’s happening in the world through my inimitable lens—age mixed with hopeful sarcasm. I’d love it if you’d join me--stick around for a post or two and see what you think. And then let me know.
Meanwhile, I’m going to keep writing anyway, because it’s the only thing that helps me stay centered (sane) in this evolving world.
Oh yes! Missing that humor and hopeful sarcasm.
