Hi. Thanks for checking out Silver Linings. I’ve been posting weekly (mostly) for almost three years, so I appreciate the support—it keeps me going!

A few things about this newsletter: Silver Linings is the place where I post my weekly essays on life through a sixty-something’s eyes. It’s not all fun and games, but I try to see the silver linings in most situations. I appreciate your likes & comments!

A recently added section is Writual. I’m calling it Writual because I like the portmanteau of Writing and Ritual. It is meant to foster a writing intention for anyone who has the desire to pick up a pen and get some words written. Writual’s page and posts will be mostly about writing—my writing, your writing, upcoming classes, workshops, inspirational quotes (or ant drawings!) or news. The posts will be shorter and less frequent and if you subscribe to Silver Linings, you’ll be automatically subscribed to Writual.

However, if you prefer not to subscribe to Writual, you can unsubscribe from it without unsubscribing from Silver Linings. Here’s how:

  • Go to the Silver Linings site on Substack

  • Click on your photo up in the top right corner

  • Scroll down to “Manage my subscription” and click on it

  • Then simply uncheck anything in the notifications box that you do not wish to receive. If you leave “Silver Linings” as the only checked box, you’ll only get the weekly posts and nothing else. Leave it all alone if you’re okay getting both the essays and the occasional writing bits—your choice. If you need help, just let me know!
