Even though I am still on my self-imposed hiatus (See May at Writual) I am going to keep sending out my monthly round up of all things writing—classes (mine or otherwise), workshops, events and new books or interesting writers.
I just finished the *Taken* series by Erin Bowman and now I’m starting *The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes* by Suzanne Collins. I’ve not read any Neil Gaiman… yet.
Thanks for the shout-out Cindy! I haven’t interviewed Neil Gaiman, but I love his books and he’s a very encouraging person. He gave a talk at the Westport Library last year and was inspiring!
American Gods is a Gaiman classic. But if you like Gaiman, you might love Salman Rushdie. He has some truly great books featuring Jinns (sort of Arabic supernatural otherworld entities, like the genie in the bottle.) He is a master storyteller and world builder.

And I love audio books on roadtrips! (And grocery shopping)
Grocery shopping! Brilliant!

Was American Gods a series? A friend is reading Salman Rushdie now. I'll have to check him out too! Thank you!
Pretty sure it was a recent series, but I read the novel many years ago.
I adored it! 😍
The Ocean at the End of the Lane was my favorite Gaiman book!
