My name is Cornelia Dinnean. I was in Smilow Hospital last week. Annie was my roommate. We talked. I'm fighting my own Breast Caner battle. I found the lump while showering on July 3, 2023. My 2nd Chemotherapy Infusion is Tuesday, November 7th. There isn't much I can do for Annie but pray, which I'm doing. I'm single, 68, all my family is dead so I'm doing this journey alone. I have friends but most of them are not here, in Connecticut. Anyway, I know today is Luca's 12 Birthday. I so hope Annie is home for it and that she was home for Halloween as well. I am praying for Annie and Luca, her husband and you, her Mother. I am so sorry and outraged that this is happening to Annie. If you've energy for it try to get an appointment to talk to Rosa DeLaura and talk to her orr writw her. More importantly, per research and funding write Taylor Swift. Her mother Andrea has breast cancer and had a recurrence. It metaticized to her brain. Taylor's Song SOON YOU'LL GET BETTER is about her experience of her Mother's Breast Cancer. Google it. You are very articulate and passionate as is Taylor. You, the Mother about her Daughter. Taylor, the Daughter about her Mother. If anyone can command attention to an issue and fund research as well it is Taylor Swift. Connect with her. That is where my prayer, reflection and outrage have lead me. On Luca's 12 Birthday may you be inspired to reach out and connect with Taylor Swift and her Mother Andera Finley Swift. My birthday is January 12th, Andrea Swifte's is January 10th and Annie's is January 17th. Taylor's is December 13th. Born in 1989. Taylor loves her Birthday! So true, so sad, so infuriating. I have always hated that infantilizing choice of pink..the color of princesses and unicorns... for the curse of a cancer that kills time and time again. We do not want community.. we want cures.. and a little respect along the way.

It is always shocking to me that we pour SO MUCH MONEY into cancer -- especially breast cancer -- and we still haven't figured out a cure.
