A beautiful way to connect back to your daughter, Cindy. As another bereaved mum I feel so much resonance in your writing about this challenge…living without and (more importantly now) with your child in a different way. Sending love x
I believe the idea is not to "curb" our feelings, but to BE AWARE of how we are feeling...something most of us don't know at the moment...it certainly causes us to be more present in our lives. And that means authentic. And that feels good.
Hey, Cindy. Good hearing from you. Isn't it funny how we suddenly "discover" new epiphanies that have been there all along?
I hear you. And really, the idea isn't to NOT feel our emotions (as I believe you pointed out), but to BE AWARE of how we are feeling...which is something most people can't pinpoint. I think that when we are aware, we are able to move through them more gracefully. And definitely feel them, just the same.
It is amazing how we can hear a pearl or gem just when we need it…even though we already knew it. It lands just perfectly and with impeccable timing. Angels, I imagine.
Parks & Rec was a classic - good stuff!
Amy and Tina are on tour and I'm going to see them on May 2nd! Will think of you and Annie. xx

It definitely feels like a way to connect with her...listening to the people she loved and who inspired her, too. Thank you. xo
My family and I LOVE both Tina and Amy. Keep listening to them. They understand that joy leads the way.
I always liked both of them, but now I'll listen for Annie and me. ♥

Yes, I think even being aware of what's going on--without guilt or shame--allows us to be true to ourselves--authentic as you say.
Yes yes and absolutely 💯 yes
